The 2019 edition of the Magnifico Award has just ended and this year it awarded the Magrille oil with the certificate of excellence: Magrille is an oil cultivated with the Livita Plus method of super high density olive farming. This is an important recognition because it comes from the world's leading experts in extra virgin olive oil, who each year choose the best oil for quality, excellence and potential.
Olive-growing in Italy has always been a leading sector, with a solid tradition and a focus on innovation, and Made in Italy olive oil is confirmed as one of the best in the world, a product of excellence in our country that farmers value.
Tuscany has always been one of the most suitable Italian regions for olive growing. Magrille was born in Castiglion Fiorentino, in the province of Arezzo, and is an extra virgin olive oil with a sweet taste, slightly fruity, with a pleasant almond aftertaste; golden in color with an intense reflective green colour, Magrille has a delicate bouquet.
Magrille olive oil comes from Arbequina olives grown with the Livita Plus super high density olive growing system; the olives are pressed on a daily basis in Tuscany: it is therefore a Made in Italy oil, obtained directly from the fruit and extracted by exclusively mechanical system. Its name comes from the place where the first grove of super high density intensive olive farming was installed by the Buccelletti family.
The recognition of excellence of the Magnifico Award definitively denies one of the common beliefs that, through the super high density olive farming, it was possible to obtain an oil of low quality.
For years the Buccelletti family has been a point of reference in the agricultural sector in Tuscany and in recent years has been particularly committed to the olive sector, with the aim of protecting olive trees and Made in Italy olive oil.
This is how the super high density olive growing Livita Plus system was born, a virtuous example of precision agriculture that allows production to triple without compromising the quality of the final product. All this without stressing the soil or the olive trees, with an extremely reduced environmental impact.
